Bronze - Best Small Visitor Attraction of the Year
"The crème-de-la-crème of Staffordshire tourism and hospitality have been crowned at this year’s Enjoy Staffordshire Tourism and Good Food Awards.
Businesses from across the county gathered at Aspects at National Memorial Arboretum, near Lichfield, for the 10th anniversary glittering black-tie event, sponsored by Staffordshire University and hosted by BBC Midlands Today’s Rebecca Wood. An audience of more than 300 guests saw the winners of 20 categories announced.

Gladstone Pottery MuseumWINNER - The museum has been officially named one of the best places to visit in England. The Museum picked up a bronze award for ‘Small Visitor Attraction of the Year’ in the 2015 Visit England Awards for Excellence. At an awards ceremony in Gateshead on 11 May 2015 Angela Lee (Museum Manager) and Nerys Williams (Audience Development Manager) received the Bronze Award. The Visit England Awards for Excellence are the most prestigious awards in English tourism.
THREE YEARS = THREE AWARDS Gladstone Pottery Museum picked up the gold award for ‘Small Visitor Attraction of the Year’ in 2013 and again a year later in 2014, in the Enjoy Staffordshire Tourism Awards. So now its official and Gladstone Pottery Museum is one of the top three small visitor attractions in England. Still winning awards after 40 years!

For outstanding contribution to heritage education and learning within the historic environment. Gladstone has been given a prestigious Sandford Award for excellence in it's education provision. The independently judged award provides a quality assurance kite mark for education at heritage sites, museums, archives and collections and is nationally recognised. This is fantastic news for the Museums Education team and all of the guides, visitor services, workshop staff and everyone else on site who make school and group visits so special. Judges look for projects that take all aspects of conservation into consideration including the impact to the environment, use of traditional material/techniques, research that was undertaken into the background of the project, impact on the community, re-using original material and implementing plans which will ensure the survival of the historic building or structure into the future.
